What is the highest that a plane has ever gone?

Im looking also for figures from the Antonov 225 since it is the largest plane and it would be interesting to compare.|||the x 15 went up to 350,000 ft. and was rocket propelled. it was launched off a b 52 bomber and the pilot who flew it described it as a "sustained kick in the butt."its top speed was 4,500mph.

the highest jet plane ever went was 85,000 ft. it was called the SR-71 blackbird|||The space shuttle has been to low earth orbit, the highest a winged vehicle has ever gone.

Spaceship One and the X-15 are virtually tied for maximum altitude for air launched, rocket powered, winged vehicles, at 69 and 67 miles respectively. (~350,000 feet)

The highest a ground based, air breathing plane has gone in a ballistic trajectory (zoom climb) was over 123,000 feet in a Mig 25M.

The highest sustained level flight by aground based, air breathing aircraft was over 80,000 feet by the SR-71.

The AN-225 has a service ceiling of 33,000 feet and proabably a maximum of 40,000 depending on gross weight.|||F-4 test flights left the pilot about 100 ft. from being an astronaut, the SR-71 black bird pretty much skips along space, low atmoshpheric pressure helps it build up the speed, they can't invent a caulking that can take the frictional heat it gets on it's skin when at speed, any caulking they have tried just turns into burned marshmellow goo, it's pretty much like constantly flying through "RE-ENTRY", the fuel tanks weep fuel on the tarmac when being filled, they heat up and expand at altitude sealing them up.|||the highest a plane has ever gone is about 67miles (354,200ft.) in the air. i have no idea about the antonov 225, i would imagine its maximum altitude is about the same of any other large aircraft|||The above is correct. A MiG-25 achieved 123,000 ft.
