When do plane ticket prices start going up?

I am planning on buying an international plane ticket for July, but am curious as to how long I can wait until the price starts going up. Is it just the final two weeks before departure, or are the prices going to gradually rise steadily over the next six months?

Thanks!|||I believe prices usually go up depending on how many seats have been sold, as well as how close it is to the departure date. I think they usually start gradually going up about a month before departure|||Usually a month out is when prices can get considerably higher, but not always. The prices can go up or down between now and then though. Keep in mind that July is during the peak summer travel season when prices are high. I would try to get a good idea of what a good price is and buy your ticket as soon as you see a good price. You can also sign up for fare alerts on websites like Kayak.com, which will let you know when fares are good.|||They'll start going up from now until the flight leaves. Once all the seats priced at the current rate are sold, the price for the next block of tickets will be higher.
